There are many chemicals commonly used in sewage treatment, such as flocculants, coagulation aids, conditioners, demulsifiers, defoaming agents, disinfectants, etc.
Flocculants are sometimes called coagulants, which can be used as a means to strengthen solid-liquid separation and are used in primary sedimentation tanks, secondary sedimentation tanks, flotation tanks, and tertiary treatment or advanced treatment processes; flocculants have auxiliary flocculation.
Conditioner, also known as dehydrating agent, is mainly used for conditioning the remaining sludge before dehydration, and its varieties include some of the above-mentioned flocculants and coagulants; demulsifier is sometimes called dehydrating agent.
Stabilizers are mainly used for the pretreatment of oily sewage containing emulsified oil before air flotation, and its varieties include some of the above-mentioned flocculants and coagulants; defoamer is mainly used to eliminate the occurrence of aeration and stirring during the process.
A lot of foam; PH adjuster is mainly used to adjust the pH value of alkaline sewage and acidic sewage to neutral; disinfectant is mainly used for disinfection after sewage treatment before discharge and reuse.
