PAM structure difference

Cationic polyacrylamide (CPAM) : linear polymer compounds, because it has a variety of active groups, and many substances affinity, adsorption to form hydrogen bonds. It's basically flocculating the negatively charged colloid.

Anionic polyacrylamide (APAM) : is a water-soluble polymer, mainly used in all kinds of industrial wastewater flocculation settlement, precipitation clarification treatment, such as steel mill wastewater, electroplating plant wastewater, metallurgical wastewater, coal washing wastewater and other sewage treatment, sludge dehydration. Can also be used for drinking water clarification and purification treatment. Due to its molecular chain contains a certain number of polar groups, it can through adsorption of solid particles suspended in water, bridge between particles or through charge neutralization particles condense to form large flocculant, so it can accelerate the settlement of particles in suspension, has a very obvious acceleration of solution clarification, promote filtration and other effects.

Nonionic polyacrylamide (NPAM) : is a polymer or polyelectrolyte, its molecular chain contains a certain amount of polar genes can adsorb solid particles suspended in water, so that the bridge between the particles to form large flocculant. It accelerates the settlement of particles in suspension, accelerates the clarification of solution and promotes filtration. Due to the molecular chain contains amide or ion genes, so its remarkable characteristics are high hydrophilicity, can be dissolved in water in various proportions, polyacrylamide aqueous solution has a good tolerance of electrolytes, such as chlorinated amine, sodium sulfate and so on are not sensitive, compatible with surfactants.
