There are many kinds of fiber ball materials on the market, the most common is polyester yarn, and others are acrylic fiber, nylon fiber, polypropylene fiber, etc. The fiber ball is made of polyester and acrylic, and has the following characteristics.
Polyester Fiber Features:
1. High strength. The short fiber strength is 2.6 to 5.7 cN/dtex, and the high tenacity fiber is 5.6 to 8.0 cN/dtex. Due to its low hygroscopicity, its wet strength is basically the same as its dry strength. The impact strength is 4 times higher than that of nylon and 20 times higher than that of viscose fiber.
2. Good elasticity. The elasticity is close to that of wool, and it can almost fully recover when the elongation is 5% to 6%.
3. Good wear resistance. The abrasion resistance is second only to nylon with good abrasion resistance, and it is better than other natural fibers and synthetic fibers.
4. Good light resistance. Lightfastness is second only to acrylic.
5. Corrosion resistance. Resistant to bleaches, oxidants, hydrocarbons, ketones, petroleum products and inorganic acids. Dilute alkali resistance, not afraid of mildew, but hot alkali can make it decompose.
Nylon characteristics: Acrylic is also known as polyacrylonitrile fiber. Usually refers to the synthetic fiber obtained by wet spinning or dry spinning with more than 85% of the copolymer of acrylonitrile and two and three monomers. The performance of polyacrylonitrile fiber is better like wool, and the rebound rate can still maintain 65% when the elongation is 20%. It is fluffy, curly and soft, and its warmth retention is 15% higher than that of wool. Strength 22.1~48.5cN/dtex, 1~2.5 times higher than wool. Excellent light fastness, the strength is only reduced by 20% when exposed to the sun for one year.
The fiber ball filter material is a spherical filler formed by tying fiber filaments. Compared with the traditional quartz sand filter material or multi-layer filter material, the fiber ball filter material has the advantages of good elasticity, fast filtration speed, large gap, large sewage interception capacity, long working cycle, good filtration effect, and small head loss. . During the filtration process, the pores of the filter layer gradually become smaller along the direction of water flow, which is more in line with the porosity distribution of the filter material from the top to the bottom.
