Trichloroisocyanuric acid ( TCCA ) is an organic compound with the formula (C3Cl3N3O3). It is used as an industrial disinfectant, bleaching agent and a reagent in organic synthesis. This white crystalline powder, which has a strong "chlorine odour," is sometimes sold in tablet or granule form for domestic and industrial use.

It was effectively used to synthesize many classes of compounds such as: chlorinated arenes, N-chloramines and amides, α-halo-carbonyl compounds, benzyl chlorides, esters, carboxylic anhydrides, and amides. The procedures, which make use of TCCA, have mild reaction conditions and optimal stoichiometric molar ratio of reactants and avoid the use of any metal-based catalysts. In all cases very high yield and selectivity were observed.
