Manganese sand
The appearance of manganese sand filter material is black brown, nearly circular, and the main component is manganese dioxide, with a content ranging from 35% to 45%. Manganese sand filter material is made of high-quality manganese sand, with dense grains, high mechanical strength, strong chemical activity, not easy to break, and insoluble in water. Processed into sand through processes such as water washing, grinding, crushing, drying, magnetic separation, screening, and dust removal. Then mix the processed manganese sand according to a certain gradation.
It has the most ideal gradation ratio for water treatment filter media, which allows it to have the maximum specific surface area, the strongest pollutant interception ability, the maximum oxidation catalytic effect, and the minimum backwash loss rate per unit volume.

Manganese Sand For Water Softening
In the process of softening water quality, firstly, due to the limited treatment time of manganese sand softening water, secondly, due to the presence of iron oxides such as iron element, ferric oxide, and ferrous oxide in the water, various substances are mixed, which greatly reduces the iron and manganese removal effect of manganese sand.

Therefore, in order to increase the iron and manganese removal effect of manganese sand, an aeration treatment process needs to be added before the manganese sand treatment process. To achieve the best effect in removing iron and manganese! Anaerobic aerobic facultative biological treatment processes with different ratios can be selected according to the different combination forms of water quality. This process not only has excellent denitrification and phosphorus removal effects, but also can decompose high molecular weight organic matter into low molecular weight organic matter that is easy to aerobic biodegradation.
Characteristics
- If manganese is contained in raw water, manganese sand has the demanganization effect.
- If the required concentration of free chlorine is detected in raw water MnO₂・H₂O (manganese dioxide hydrate) is regenerated through oxidization of manganese in raw water and it coats the surface of manganese sand. Then, it becomes the same as manganese sand. Therefore, the contact oxidation capacity (demanganization capacity) of manganese sand is maintained.
- The amount of manganese contained in our product is 0.3mg/g or more.
- Manganese sand can be used for demanganization with a rapid filtration system.
