Quartz sand is a kind of quartz particle processed from natural quartzite and quartz stone through crushing, grinding, sieving, beneficiation and other processes. Its main component is silicon dioxide (SiO₂). It features high purity, high hardness, stable chemical properties, acid and alkali resistance, high temperature resistance and good insulation performance.
According to particle size, purity and application, it can be classified into common quartz sand, refined quartz sand, high-purity quartz sand, etc. It appears white or off-white with uniform particles and distinct edges and corners.
It is commonly used as water treatment filter material, foundry sand and sandblasting abrasive. It is also widely applied in glass manufacturing, ceramics, refractory materials, anti-corrosion fillers, artificial turf, building materials and other industries, making it an extremely versatile basic industrial raw material in industrial production.
