Filter balls are typically used as a replacement for sand in swimming pool filters.

They can be made of various materials, such as polyester or polyethylene, and are designed to be more efficient and easier to clean than traditional filter media.

To clean filter balls, follow these steps:

  • Turn off the pool pump and filter system.

  • Remove the filter balls from the filter tank and place them in a large plastic bucket or container.

  • Rinse the filter balls thoroughly with a hose to remove any debris or dirt that may have accumulated on them.

  • Fill the bucket with water and add a filter cleaner solution according to the manufacturer's instructions.

  • Allow the filter balls to soak in the solution for the recommended time period (usually several hours).

  • After soaking, remove the filter balls from the solution and rinse them thoroughly with clean water to remove any remaining cleaner residue.

  • Inspect the filter balls for any signs of damage or wear, and replace any damaged or worn balls with new ones.

  • Return the cleaned filter balls to the filter tank and restart the pump and filter system.

It's important to follow the manufacturer's instructions for the filter balls and any cleaner solution used, as well as any safety precautions.

Regular cleaning of filter balls will help to maintain the efficiency of the pool filter and keep the pool water clean and clear.
